ALU, awarded in 2019 as the most innovative company in Africa for “Reinventing education for a new era” by Fast Company, needed a hiring system in order to attract and hire top performers from across the world with limited budget.

Inspired by Google’s successful approach, we launched an “Internal Talent Agency” to delight and evaluate top candidates with reasonable timelines and costs.

Implemented a new hiring methodology that focuses on developing curated relationships with top talent

Smaller and better targeted pipelines with a personalized approach increased candidate engagement

Introduced new components like Job Simulations to increase the predictive power of the recruitment process

Increased structure throughout the recruitment process by leveraging tools like Interview Cards or Sourcing Scorecards to reduce bias

Enhanced hiring speed across all new hire levels. That includes top management hires in under 30 days

Minimized hiring costs up to 90% by creating an Internal Talent Agency and reducing dependency on external Search Firms, as well as job boards
